About Me. |
My Teaching PhilosophyNo two students are the same. Recognizing differences within each student and celebrating that diversity is a powerful thing! Building great relationships, with both the students and their families, and perfecting classroom management should come first.
My Technology Philosophy Technology, when used with purpose and validity, can enhance all students across the curriculum. Technology for sake of "busy work" can cause a student to lose interest and passion about a subject.

My Path
Before EducationI grew up in West Palm Beach Florida and moved to St. Petersburg back in 2012. I moved in pursuit of my sign language interpreter degree. I try to implement those skills into the classroom as much as possible. I found Plato Academy and turned my major to education right away!
During EducationAfter finding Plato, I fell in love with education. I changed my major to Exceptional Student Education K-12. I am also reading endorsed, ESOL certified, and Gen. Ed. K-6 Certified. I am currently enrolled at the University or Central Florida (UCF) pursuing my Master's Degree.
The FutureI plan to graduate in June of 2021. I will graduate with my degree in Instructional Design with a track in Educational Technology. Using Tech in the classroom has always been a passion of mine and I hope to help others with that same skill! I am not opposed to going back to school after this degree in hope to gain an Educational Leadership degree!
